JONAH the story of a man...
Jonah is a prophet from the Bible (B.C.) to whom God conferred a special mission. He, however, preferred running away from God's presence and decided to take a small ocean cruise which ended with a three days and three nights stay in the belly of a huge fish. He was just about to die when the fish miraculously vomited him up onto a beach !
Jonah is the first man to have toured the Mediterranean Sea in a bio submarine...!!
A finished production (90 minutes) written for:
a men's choir who portray the sailors (tenors, baritones, basses)
three soloists who portray Jonah, God and the king of Nineveh (tenors, baritone, bass)
three wood wind instruments : flute, oboe and bassoon
  three gold instruments: French horn, alto saxophone, slide trombone
  three percussion instruments: xylophone, a triangle and cymbals
 
 
The symphonic orchestra comprises:
an ensemble of traditional string instruments (violin I, violin II, alto, cello, string bass)
an ensemble of ‘wind’ instruments (oboe, bass flute, horn, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone)
the percussion instruments (kettledrums, xylophones, cymbals)
and a piano
The mixed chorus of 7 voices comprises:
Soprano I, Soprano II
Alto I, Alto II
Tenor, Baritone, Bass
